SUMMARY:The Latin Side of Jazz Guitar by Richard Peña
DESCRIPTION:Generous support provided by The Music Performance Trust Fund. \nWorld Premier of Richard Peña’s newest album: The Latin Side of Jazz Guitar \nJoin Richard Peña as he answers the question: What could the Latin side of jazz guitar sound like? Each track is an answer\, showcasing how the guitar can stand as an equal to instruments like the piano\, cuatro\, or tres in leading a band melodically\, harmonically\, and rhythmically. \nTitled “Youth Jazz Ambassador” by the Humacao Friends of Jazz Association\, Richard Peña has performed internationally as a bandleader and with Grammy-winning artists ranging from Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez to Victor Manuelle. The 26-year-old guitarist and composer has managed to establish his musical mark in the Latin American jazz community\, publishing 4 award-winning record productions acclaimed by magazines such as Jazz Corner and All About Jazz. \n  \nFREE RSVP
