Tras 15 años de investigación y entrevistas con más de 50 artistas\, familiares\, amigos y allegados\, esta presentación interactiva compartirá escenas inéditas del documental. El público podrá conversar con sus realizadores\, reaccionar al material y participar en el desarrollo creativo del proyecto. \nEn la segunda parte\, Alberto González presentará Héctor Lavoe and Associates y conversará con el público sobre Lavoe\, sus colaboradores y el legado de su música. Habrá espacio para preguntas y firma de libros. \nDJ set de vinilos clásicos con invitados especiales y tienda de discos de Sonando el Hueso. \nAn evening dedicated to Chamaco Ramírez and Héctor Lavoe. \nFirst Chamaco Ramírez: Sonero\, Legend\, and Mystery offers a glimpse into the creative process behind Alive and Kicking: The Story of Chamaco Ramírez. Drawing on 15 years of research and interviews with more than 50 artists\, family members\, friends\, and close associates\, this interactive presentation will feature previously unseen scenes from the documentary. Audience members will have the opportunity to speak with the filmmakers\, share their reactions\, and contribute to the project’s creative development. \nIn the second half\, Alberto González will present Héctor Lavoe and Associates and discuss Lavoe\, his collaborators\, and his musical legacy with the audience. SUMMARY:Henry Cole Jazz Trio
DESCRIPTION:Cole became the first Puerto Rican resident on the island—and only the second nationwide—to receive the New Jazz Works Grant from Chamber Music America for his compositional work with Villa Locura\, underscoring his standing as a composer of national significance. \nHe is widely recognized for his role as drummer for the Grammy Award–winning ensemble led by Miguel Zenón. As a core member of the Quartet for over two decades\, Cole has shaped the ensemble’s rhythmic architecture across internationally acclaimed recordings and global tours and contributed to projects that have defined the contemporary Latin and jazz canon. \nCole’s work extends across genres\, including collaborations with Tito Allen\, Tego Calderón\, Andy Montañez\, CHano Domigüez\, Ben Wendel\, Gary Burton\, Quincy Jones\, Draco Rosa\, Daddy Yankee \, Natti Natasha and Calle 13 earning a Grammy Award for the latter\, among others. \nIn his latest album\, De Mayagüez (2025)\, Cole returned explicitly to his hometown as a conceptual foundation. The album examines place\, memory\, and forward motion\, internalizing folkloric logic within modern compositional frameworks.
