Overview

featuring Gia Fu and Lite, Sentido celebrates the 55th anniversary of Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center with a night of salsa.

for the start of its 55th anniversary celebration, Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center opens its doors for a night dedicated to rhythm, memory, and the generations that helped shape puerto rican cultural identity in Chicago.

in collaboration with Sentido, the evening brings together salsa, bugalú, latin soul, and diasporic sounds with opening selections by DJ Carlos Guate, DJ Lite and a special set by Gia Fu, presented with support from Michelada Fest, inside one of the city’s most historic cultural spaces.

more than a gathering, this is a celebration of legacy and a fundraiser supporting the continued preservation of the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center and its decades of community work through culture, education, and the arts. a reminder that music has always lived beyond clubs and stages, carried through community centers, family gatherings, block parties, and neighborhood streets for decades**

for one night, the ruiz belvis transforms into a living archive of sound past and present.
