Join Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center for an intimate night of Afro-Caribbean jazz with Puerto Rican guitarist and composer Richard Peña, returning to SRBCC with his newest project, Equilibrio.

Presented during Peña’s stay at La Resi, SRBCC’s artist residency, this special album presentation brings together the rhythmic heartbeat of Puerto Rico’s Afro-Caribbean traditions with the harmonic richness, improvisational depth, and energy of modern jazz. Rooted in rhythms such as bomba, plena, guaracha, and son, Equilibrio reflects Peña’s search for balance between tradition and innovation, with a trio sound shaped through constant musical conversation.
