With our community mobilizing around the Together for Venezuela benefit on Sunday, July 12, along with several important cultural events taking place throughout the weekend, we believe postponing the concert is the most responsible decision.
Your July 11 ticket will be honored for Together for Venezuela, taking place at SRBCC on Sunday, July 12, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Richard Peña will open the benefit with his Equilibrio Jazz Trio, joining a powerful lineup of local artists raising funds for earthquake-relief efforts in Venezuela.

POSTPONED
Join Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center for an intimate night of Afro-Caribbean jazz with Puerto Rican guitarist and composer Richard Peña, returning to SRBCC with his newest project, Equilibrio.
Presented during Peña’s stay at La Resi, SRBCC’s artist residency, this special album presentation brings together the rhythmic heartbeat of Puerto Rico’s Afro-Caribbean traditions with the harmonic richness, improvisational depth, and energy of modern jazz. Rooted in rhythms such as bomba, plena, guaracha, and son, Equilibrio reflects Peña’s search for balance between tradition and innovation, with a trio sound shaped through constant musical conversation.
This evening also supports SRBCC’s Artist Fund, which helps finance artist fees and sustain our commitment to paying artists with dignity. Your presence and donations directly help SRBCC continue creating opportunities for local, visiting, emerging, and established artists of color.
