Join Marquette Park Music Program, Cafe con Leche, PRAA, and La Cantera, SRBCC in the Lasalle Ballroom for a pop up social! The mission of the Chicago International Salsa Congress is to unite cultures and generations, engender leadership through empowerment opportunities in its showcase and to keep alive the history of the many cultures’ contributions to the creation and evolution of Latin, Afro-Latin and Afro-Caribbean music and dance.

La Cantera, SRBCC's Afro-Caribbean Jazz Ensemble for ages 19-24 lead by Adrian Ruiz plays every third Friday of the month at the California Clipper with special guests. Our guest for the evening of June 20th will be local trombonist Nathan Pérez.

La Cantera is proud to welcome one of the top salsa singers in Chicago. Ponce native Papo Santiago will lead a new set, including songs from Santiago's newest album "Palabras".

La Cantera bring their Latin Jazz and Salsa series to the parks with special guests.
